WHO THIS PAGE IS FOR
You hire out chairs, tables, linen, marquees and decor rather than serial-numbered technical kit, and you want the system to model that rather than make you adapt to an asset register.
WHAT EVENT MANAGR DOES
Every item carries its own prep and cleaning days, and availability subtracts them. Linen collected on Sunday with two days of turnaround is not offered for Monday just because the booking technically ended. The number you quote from is the number you can actually load.
Returning stock is the only moment the truth about your inventory changes, so it is a full workflow rather than an edit screen. You record what came back, what came back broken and what did not come back, and the three reconcile against what went out. Count forty-two against forty and it says so, because somebody has counted a pile twice.
Damaged stock is here and out of service. Missing stock is unaccounted for and often turns up in the wrong crate at the next event. Both come off availability, both stay on the record, and neither is a note in a comment field — so “how many do I own” and “how many can I promise in June” stay two answerable questions.
Roles are assembled from individual permissions rather than picked from a list of three. Warehouse staff can move units between pools, fix a storage position and submit a stock count without ever being able to change what the company owns — and cost prices are visible only to the roles you hand that permission to.

If you track serial numbers, manage sub-hire chains and technical specifications, need deep multi-warehouse and multi-currency handling, or want an established vendor with a long support history, Current RMS is built for that and we are not. We model interchangeable units in bulk; if your business runs on individually identified assets, that is the wrong shape for you.

No, and it is a deliberate design decision rather than a gap we intend to close. Forty chairs are forty interchangeable units, and forcing them into forty asset records makes counting harder, not easier. If your stock genuinely needs individual identity — technical kit under warranty, say — an asset-based system is the right tool and we will say so.
No. Plans are per company with a seat cap, so taking on seasonal staff for the summer does not change what you pay in the way a per-user licence does. The caps and prices are published in full on the pricing page.
That is the primary case it was designed for. The counting and check-in screens assume one hand, bad light and gloves — large controls, plain states, and no step that needs a keyboard. The office screens assume a desktop, and neither is a cut-down version of the other.
