Looking at Booqable? Here is what we do differently.

Booqable is a strong choice if the centre of gravity is your website — customers browsing stock and booking it themselves. Event Managr's centre of gravity is the building: what is on the shelf, what is promised, what went out on the van and what came back broken.

From $29 a month. 14-day free trial. No card required.

WHO THIS PAGE IS FOR

Most of your work arrives by phone, email or a quote form rather than through an online checkout, and the expensive mistakes happen in the warehouse rather than in the basket.

WHAT EVENT MANAGR DOES

Built around
the return.

Availability that knows about the wash

Every item carries its own prep and cleaning days, and availability subtracts them. Linen collected on Sunday with two days of turnaround is not offered for Monday just because the booking technically ended. The number you quote from is the number you can actually load.

A check-in that has to reconcile

Returning stock is the only moment the truth about your inventory changes, so it is a full workflow rather than an edit screen. You record what came back, what came back broken and what did not come back, and the three reconcile against what went out. Count forty-two against forty and it says so, because somebody has counted a pile twice.

Damaged and missing are separate pools

Damaged stock is here and out of service. Missing stock is unaccounted for and often turns up in the wrong crate at the next event. Both come off availability, both stay on the record, and neither is a note in a comment field — so “how many do I own” and “how many can I promise in June” stay two answerable questions.

The floor observes, the office decides

Roles are assembled from individual permissions rather than picked from a list of three. Warehouse staff can move units between pools, fix a storage position and submit a stock count without ever being able to change what the company owns — and cost prices are visible only to the roles you hand that permission to.

WHEN TO BUY THEIRS

Where Booqable
is the better answer.

If you want customers to browse and book online themselves, with a storefront that drops into your existing website and takes card payments at checkout, Booqable is built for that and we have no equivalent. Event Managr has no customer-facing storefront at all, and there is no point pretending otherwise.

QUESTIONS

Before you
switch.

No. Bookings are taken by your team, because that is how this trade mostly works — a phone call, a site visit, a quote. If self-service online booking is the thing you are buying, we are the wrong product and Booqable is a reasonable place to look.

Check-in is where you say what returned, what returned broken and what is missing. The three reconcile against what actually went out on the van, and an over-count is reported rather than quietly corrected. Damaged and missing are real pools that come off availability until somebody resolves them, and damaged items can be charged at their replacement price on the invoice.

Yes — the counting, load-out and check-in screens were designed for exactly that, in bad light with gloves on. Every admin path works on a phone too, because the owner is rarely at the desk when the question comes up.

Try it against your own stock

Event Managr starts with a 14-day free trial, and no card is required. Load one category and one real booking — that is enough to tell whether it fits.
